Indonesian Bad habits at railway crossings

Indonesian Bad habits at railway crossings
Indonesian Bad habits at railway crossings 1
I often look at railway crossings when rail latch down (or close), the bikers lined up waiting along the bar, although the two-way street. Again, I see it, this afternoon in District Lemahabang, Cirebon, West Java, Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

The result is predictable. When the rail latch up (or open), the biker on the right againts face to face with the vehicles from the front direction.

Silly, but it often happens. I see three times the latch closed continuously, the behavior of the queuing biker alike. I was not too long admiring the absurdity of it. Less than one hour.

Are they stupid? I think not. Motorcyclists anywhere, I'm sure know. That the legal system of land transport, in Indonesia, order that the vehicle crossed the left side of the road. The right side to precede. Although it does not have a driver's license (SIM), or have a license but that does not pass the official exam, it is common knowledge.
